Photo:BillLynch Celebrating Students Making It Big in the Big Apple n SAE New York will salute the fantastic achieve- mentsofitsgraduateswhenithostsitssecond­annual Alumni Awards Show. The great and good from New York’s audio community will join in the ­annual ­celebration organised and hosted by the SAE New York Alumni Association. The event on July 31 will run from 6-10pm and is ­fittingly being staged in one of midtown’s hippest ­locations The Cutting Room. Award categories include: Live Sound, Post-Pro- duction, Non-Engineering Roles, Start-Up Business, Rising Star and Engineer of the Year. A prominent industry expert will be assigned to judge each category, select the winner and present the award. The illustrious panel of j Bowler (HOBO Audio), Se Tony Drootin (Area 51 Stu State Logic), and Joe La event will also feature live and graduate bands, inclu The Black Tie Affair.
