NVOY, the perfect ambassadors of Electronic Dance Music are making waves in the world of EDM. Their latest track ‘All Night’ released after signing to Black Butter Records is proving to be a hit.
NVOY, founded by DJ’s James King, 22, and Connor Turner, 21, while studying audio at SAE Institute, have become an overnight success.
Described by some fans as, “effortless sounding futuristic dance music’. King was quick to explain, “Our music is futuristic house music. You can describe it in basic terms as ‘dance music’. It’s electronic, melodic, forward-thinking”.
Discovered and played on BBC Radio 1 by Skream, one of dubsteps first and most prominent producers who followed NVOY on Twitter and SoundCloud.
BBC Radio 1 Extra DJ MistaJam added to their radio debut by playing the full version of their new release on his show.
Gaining accolades from over 10,000 SoundCloud followers. NVOY have rocketed into the electronic dance music stratosphere. Signing an album deal with Black Butter Records.
After studying for 2-years. The duo graduated from SAE Institute, Oxford with a BA (Hons) in Audio Production. Both achieved high marks and awarded First Class Honours degrees.
SAE Institute was a major influence on NVOY’s meteoric rise to success.
King added, “SAE gave us the framework we needed. It helped us find our feet, gave us time to make music and use the amazing studio spaces to record our music.
“They also provided a strong network of academic staff and supervisors to support us. They were always on-hand which was just what we needed”.
Having returned from playing sets at the legendary, 3000 capacity We Love Sankeys, Ibiza. NVOY are preparing for a hectic September tour. A schedule that includes Bestival, Summer of Love, Isle of Wight (Sept 10)
King commented, “We’re on tour at the moment. We played Glastonbury this year. We’re also heading for the French Alps to play the Transition Festival for a week. This year’s Notting Hill Carnival is another gig we’re looking forward to”.
Other dates include BH Mallorca (Sept 8) and a return to Sankeys (Sept 23).
NVOY are back on home territory at The Bullingdon, Cowley Road, Oxford (Sept 17).
