Did your father’s contribute to this? f fact, thanks to my father o experiment with the likes was still in beta mode not to mention a nice collection of what would be per- ceived as obsolete video equipment today. Aside from that, I even created a short animation that has been used as TV programme. That is very impressive. Are you actually credited for that? [Laughs] To be honest I really don’t know, for at the time I was simply way too young and perhaps una- ware of the importance of these things. All I know is that the material is definitely still out there. Does that mean that you basically started with a film education right after high school, since you clearly already knew that you wanted to get into film? Yes. Basically right after high school I was fortunate enough to come across SAE Institute and at the time, Rotterdam was the easier option for me as it was closer to where I lived. Given that you graduated in 2010, in retrospect, how do you feel SAE has contributed to your knowl- edge and providing a foundation for you to be able to pursue your passion? I may indeed have been very much into film from an early age but I still lacked the basics not to mention the subtleties. ➤ INDEX I liked writing stories and loved adding illustrations to them.
