++ Legendary Producer Buff Inspires SAE Students +++ SAE Graduate Miss Soulfly +++ TV Staff Fine Tune Skills Wi INDEX TV staff fine tune skills with SAE n SAE Ljubljana proved it is a leader in the field after lending its expertise to staff at Slovenia’s national broadcasting house RadioTelevizija Slovenia (RTV). SAE officials visited RTV between June and May this year to deliver practical and theory lectures on sur- round-sound production techniques to technical staff. The training programme included lectures on surround sound capture and reproduction, with particular emphasis on microphone techniques for orchestral music and mixing approaches, encoding and content delivery. These areas were scrutinised ahead of RTV’s introduction of multichannel DAB programmes. Theory lectures, delivered by SAE Ljubljana campus academic coordinator and lecturer Andrea Santini, were complemented by a practical session led by SAE guest Dr Edwin Pfanzagl-Cardone (pictured). He is an authority in the field and chief engineer at the Salzburg Festival in Austria. The sessions are another example of the successful collaboration between SAE Ljubljana and RTV. The collaboration, initiated in 2012 by SAE Ljubljana manager Roberto Bulesic, also allows SAE Ljubljana students to take part in practical classical recording and broadcasting sessions at RTV. n me that SAE’s very own arn her residency at the biza. ph and boot camp aptured on this video: burn n ed by Dr. Edwin Pfanzagl-Cardone Photo:AndreaSantini
