+ SAE Students Get A Helping Hans! +++ Lights, Camera, Action For SAE Barcelona Film Degree +++ New Equipme INDEX s Are wered! n SAE Barcelona students had extra reason to en- joy Sónar 2013 – thanks to a series of concessions. Sónar is Barcelona’s ʻinternational festival of ad- vanced music and new media artʼ and this year ran from June 13-16 on two sites Sónar by Day in Fira Montjuïc and Sónar by Night in Fira Gran Via de L’Hospitalet. And 35 SAE Institute Barcelona students were able to enjoy a 20% discount on their professional ac- creditation. The deal included free access to all of the festival’s activities and concerts at Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night venues. They were also able to queue jump thanks to their ʻfast entryʼ accreditation. Other perks included access to an online database that put the students in contact with other profes- sionals before, during and after the festival. The students could also attend The Professional Ar- ea, Welcome Bar and Pro Restaurant at Sónar by Day and the reserved bar and restaurant at Sonar by Night. Other benefits as part of the SAE concessions in- cluded a free shuttle bus service to and from Sónar by Night and a free Sónar bag. SAE Institute Barcelona is looking forward to col- laborating more with Sónar incuding its pioneering interactive Sonar +D network. This will complement SAE’s wish to give our alumni and students the best opportunity to stay up to date with the professional world. n
