294 Glasgow +++ Glasgow Student Makes Belting Judo V CampusNews SAE & SAE ALUMNI NEWS // EUROPEAN NEWS n SAE Glasgow students are always happy to grapple with new challenges. And that was the case for first year digital film­ making student Simon Parnham. The 24 year-old was enlisted by Judo Scot- land to make a promotional video to get people ­excited about the martial art ahead of the Glasgow­ Commonwealth Games in 2014. The video will form part of a big Judo Scotland ­promotional campaign, which includes ­displaying Judo based graffiti murals in Glasgow and­ potentially other major cities in Scotland. Re-living the project, Simon said: “The locations we filmed in included the Ratho Sport Centre in Edinburgh which is home to Judo Scotland’s main offices and their Olympic and World athlete training facilities. “We also travelled to Inverclyde International Training Centre, whose manager is Graeme ­Randall, a previous Commonwealth Games champion. “I was in charge of filming on these locations.
