238 Vienna +++ The year of the animation workshop +++ Staff change CampusNews SAE & SAE ALUMNI NEWS // EUROPEAN NEWS Michael's visit was without a doubt one of this year's highlights which is no mean feat considering the amount of great workshops which have been held. We also had two special treats for our budding animators: In the beginning of September Christoph Schinko came to relate his experiences on productions such as Alien vs Predator and Harry Potter to our students. They learnt about ʻmethod animatingʼ, where each movement is first recreated in teams, in order to thereby obtain a better understanding of movement in the digital realm. The last games workshop of last year brought Santiago Jover Lopez to us who works as a classical 2D animator for Cartoon Saloon in Ireland and has participated in many Disney productions such as ʻRikki Doomʼ and ʻRandy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninjaʼ as well as feature films such as ʻThe Secret of Kellsʼ.
