This added to the responsibility of ensuring that all footage from the shoot is acquired successfully, free of corruption or pollution and stored safely making this job an extremely important one. Lemac’s Business Development Manager Stuart Pointon opened with a presentation that introduced many of the key concepts in data management. Colourist Warren Eagles then gave a lively and informative demonstration on the power of DaVinci Resolve with Data Wranglers, Jeremy Stroud and Bryce Wheatley talking about the particular demands of their areas of production, Jeremy in long form drama and Bryce in the world of TVC’s. The students were particularly impressed with the state-of-the art camera gear which they were able to get hands on with, thanks to event sponsors Lemac and Cameraquip. The new ARRI Alexa Studio with an Angenieux HR 25-250mm lens on the front, mounted on an O’Connor geared head and a RED Epic camera complete with the new Zeiss 100mm compact prime lens attracted a lot of interest and a buzz of excitement. This was a very successful evening and we look forward to collaborating with ACS to stage events again in future. n INDEX ned attentively to each presentation Photo:SAEBrisbane
