The purpose of the con- test was to officially launch the activities of the student section and to make this new organisa- tion known. The nominated recordings could only be made with an Apogee ONE interface, using its inter- nal microphone, and line input, and be recorded in any of these DAW’s: Avid Pro Tools, Apple Logic, Steinberg Cubase or Ableton Live. There was no limit to the number of tracks.
