It outing took place in the re- nowned Manmade Mastering studio in Berlin which has established a name for itself in the electro scene as well as in vinyl mastering. Eight workshops took place culminating with each group mas- tering a song by one of the students and making a dubplate. Prior to this there was a contest between students on the course to choose who got to submit their song. In total, eight winners were se- lected who would receive a dubplate of their song at the end of the workshop. There was a massive response in the lead-up to this visit; Manmade Master- ing studio providing the eight lucky win- ners with a dubplate was just the icing on the cake. Es ging in das renommierte Manmade- Mastering Studio in Berlin, welches sich vor allem in der Elektroszene und im Vinyl-Mastering einen Namen gemacht hat. Es fanden insgesamt acht Work- shops statt, als Clou wurde in jeder Gruppe jeweils ein Song eines Studen- ten gemastert und eine Dubplate davon geschnitten. Insgesamt wurden acht Gewin- ner ausgewählt, die sich am Ende des Workshops über eine gemasterte Dub- plate mit ihrem Song freuen konnten. Die Resonanz auf diese Exkursion war schon im Vorfeld sehr groß, das Dub- plate-Angebot des Manmade-Maste- ring Studios war das Sahnehäubchen für die acht glücklichen Gewinner. Weitere Informationen zum Manmade- mastering Studio: http://www.manmademastering.com SAE Berlin studentsat Manmade mastering studio SAE Institute supports the DAMAAward at ITB Berlin n The International Delphic Council (IDC), organiser of the Delphic Games, “sees them- selves as a worldwide stage for encountering art and culture.” This year the IDC organised and awarded the DelphicArt MovieAward (DAMA) for the first time - a film competition about all types of art. The prize giving took place at the ITB (International Tourism Fair) closing ceremony. Peter Duhr, Head of SAE Berlin, represented the judging panel in presenting the prize. The judging panel comprised of Prof. Lothar Spree (documen- tary film maker and Professor at Tongji University, Shanghai), MichaelA. Russ (art photographer and filmmaker), Renate Roginas (European Film Academy) and Peter Duhr (Head of SAE Institute Berlin). The Berlin film division prepared the in- ternational selection of films for the judging panel, supported the prize giving in preparing the visuals and film and compiled a DVD for the fair so visitors to the ITB could see all the contributions. n SAE Institute unterstützt den DAMAAward auf der ITB Berlin Die IDC (International Delphic Council), Organi- sator der Delphischen Spiele, „ ... verstehen sich als weltweite Bühne zur Begegnung der Künste und Kulturen.“ Das IDC veranstaltete und vergab dieses Jahr erstmals den DAMA (Delphic Art Mo- vie Award) – ein Filmwettbewerb zu Künsten jeg- licher Art, deren Preisverleihung auf der Ab- schlussfeier der ITB (internationalen Tourismus Börse) stattfand. Schulleiter Peter Duhr war als Repräsentant der Jury auf der Bühne, um die Preise zu übergeben. Die Jury bestand aus: Prof. Lothar Spree (Doku- mentarfilmer und Professor an der Tongji Univer- sität Shanghai), Michael A. Russ (Fotokünstler u. Filmemacher), Renate Roginas (Europäische Filmakademie) und Peter Duhr (Manager SAE Institute Berlin). Die Berliner Filmabteilung bereitete die internati- onale Auswahl an Filmen für die Jury auf, stellte eine Messe-DVD zusammen, auf der sich die Besucher der ITB alle Beiträge ansehen konnten und unterstützte die Preisverleihung in Form der Aufbereitung der Visuals und Filme.
