Diego,anaudiodegreestudentatSAELondoncame home from the Audio Engineering Society’s 134th Convention in Rome with a gold and a silver award. Diego was victorious in the AES Student Design Competition which allows aspiring hardware and software engineers to show the world and industry experts what they can do. Students from audio and non-audio backgrounds can enter the contest and as long as entries relate to the world of audio – virtually anything goes. Competition entries ranged from loud speaker designs to mobile applications. Diego won gold for his LiveRoom entry with “an interactive virtual music listening environment”. But he was not finished silver in the Modern Stu of the Student Recordi convention.
