DevHourMX 2012, the Videogame Professionals Forum, took place in October with SAE Institute Mexico supporting the event all the way. From our professors giving lectures, to having exclusive presentations in our campus for our videogame students. This gathering brings together game development professionals and seeks to give voice to an industry in the making that needs growth opportunities, not only in the market but also on production and on professionalising their methods. Following an event in 2011 that set high expec- tations for this year, this second event had a lot more to offer; the number of conferences increased and so did the duration of the event. It was held for the first time in the National Arts Centre (CENART), an open space for research and experimentation in the arts with support from the Multimedia (CMM), and housed the main players in the development research and production of video games in Mexico EVENTS & ACTIVITIES // DEVHOURMX CONVENTION AT MEXICO CITY It‘s Game On in Mexico! with great guests like Gonz and James Portnow.
