Software (Pro Tools), Controllern, AD/DA- Wandlern und etlichen PlugIns, wartet darauf kreativ bedient zu werden. Professionelle Programme wie Logic und Cubase stehen ebenso zur Verfügung wie hochwertige Mikrofone nam- hafter und renommierter Hersteller. Bei all der modernen Tech- nik mittels Nullen und Einsen kommt die alte Analogtechnik in den Bochumer SAE-Studios nicht zu kurz. Dazu bieten hoch- wertige Kompressoren und Mikrofonvorverstärker vielfältige Einsatzmöglichkeiten. Für die Produktionsabschnitte Maste- ring, Surround-Mischung, MIDI und Electronic Music Produc- tion sind eigens Regieräume eingerichtet. Die Raumakustik ist von der Firma concept-A berechnet wie auch eingebaut worden und lässt in den Regieräumen präzises Hören sowie das Beur- teilen verschiedener Aufnahmekonstellationen und Mischun- gen zu. Die Bauakustik wurde so geplant und ausgeführt, dass zum Beispiel im Aufnahmeraum 1 eine Punk-Band lautstark spielen kann, während nebenan in Aufnahmeraum 2 ohne Be- einträchtigung eine filigran gestrichene Violine aufgenommen wird! Allein über 1.000 m verlegte Audiokabel bieten ungeahn- te Möglichkeiten, Bands und Musiker zu produzieren. Für das körperliche Wohlbefinden sind alle Studios überdies mit Lüf- tungs- und Kühlanlagen ausgestattet. But despite all the modern digital technology, old analogue technology has not been neglected in the SAE Bochum studios. First-class com- pressors and microphone amplifiers offer various potential for application. Special control rooms have been set up for master- ing, surround mixing, MIDI and electronic music production. The acoustics of the rooms were calculated and created by con- ceptA and allow precise hearing in the control rooms as well as the chance to evaluate different recording conditions and mixes. The building acoustics were planned and implemented so that a punk band can play at full volume in recording room 1 whilst next door in recording room 2, a delicately played violin can be recorded without disturbance! Over 1000m of audio cables offer unimaginable opportunities for bands and musicians. All studios are also equipped with ventilation and cooling systems for comfort.
