078 QANTM WORLD News QANTM / Amsterdam EUROPE Virtual tour on the ABC website n Qantm degree students Mark van Neck, Pat- rick Berntsen and Anthony Geara created a high profile virtual tour in 3D for Amsterdam Bright City (ABC). The ABC building is a unique con- cept, sponsored by several multinational compa- nies based in the Netherlands, supporting and offering networking possibilities for business and education in a relaxed working environment. Su- pervised and organized by SAE Academic Co- ordinator Mehdi Benkirane, the students pro- duced this 3D environment as part of their degree internship. The first model of the virtual tour is used for online publicity and can be found on the ABC website. Since this first model was above expectations, the ABC organization has asked these students to produce a business plan in order to take this virtual tour to the next level and possibly start their own business. We are very excited about this result and wish these (soon- to-be) graduates all the best. n Virtuele tour voor Amsterdam Bright City Qantm degree studenten Mark van Neck, Patrick Berntsen en Anthony Geara hebben voor Ams- terdam Bright City (ABC) een indrukwekkende virtuele tour in 3D gemaakt. Het ABC gebouw is een uniek concept, gesponsord door een aantal multinationals gebaseerd in Nederland, dat on- dersteuning en netwerk mogelijkheden biedt voor zakelijke en educatieve doeleinden, in een ontspannen werk omgeving. Geregeld door, en onder toezicht van de academische coördinator van SAE, Mehdi Benkirane, hebben de studen- ten een 3D omgeving geproduceerd als onder- deel van hun stage traject. Het eerste model van de virtuele tour staat momenteel op de website van ABC voor online publiciteit. Aangezien dit eerste model boven verwachting was heeft de ABC organisatie de studenten gevraagd een businessplan te maken om de virtuele tour naar een hoger niveau te brengen. Dit zou kunnen resulteren in een eigen bedrijf. We zijn zeer ent- housiast over het resultaat en wensen de (bin- nenkort) geslaagden veel succes. QANTM / Melbourne Qantm College showcases its Students and Graduates in true Melbourne style. n Qantm Melbourne held an art exhibition, showcasing the best works from current stu- dents and recent graduates. The event was open to staff, students, industry professionals and the general public – with exhibited works including animated films, artwork, games, as well as character and environment showreels. Graduate Shannon Gilleand who organ- ized the event said: “The exhibition started out as a conversation with one of our lecturers, where we discussed wanting to create an open environment for students to be able to work together and network, as well as to build a supportive creative network for current, future and past students. One of the benefits of creating such an event was that we could show the industry what the college, as a company has to offer, whilst being able to show off the student’s talents.” n Qantm College präsentiert seine Studenten und Absolventen in echtem Melbourner Stil. Qantm Melbourne veranstaltete eine Kunstausstellung, auf der die besten Arbeiten aktu- eller und ehemaliger Studenten gezeigt wurden. Auf dem Event für Mitarbeiter, Studenten, Profis aus der Industrie und der allgemeinen Öffentlichkeit wurden Animationsfilme, Art- work, Spiele sowie Character- und Umwelt-Showreels gezeigt. Veranstalter Absolvent Shannon Gilleand sagte: „DieAusstellung entstand aus einem Gespräch mit einem unserer Dozenten. Es ging darum, für Stu- denten eine offene Umgebung zu schaffen,indersiezusammenarbei- ten und Networking betreiben kön- nen. Und um ein unterstützendes Kreativnetzwerk für aktuelle, zukünf- tige und ehemalige Studenten.
