Bangkok Kuala Lumpur Underwater 3D Cinematography Course by SAE Institute Bangkok n . SAE Institute Bangkok is proud to present a new and exciting course in Underwa- ter 3D Stereoscopic Cinematography. The new course consists of two key elements, one being the course of 3D Stereoscopic Cinematography and the other is the under- water diving course. The course includes fundamentals of videography, documentary production, 2D and 3D camera operation, lighting and post production for 2D and 3D as well as underwater diving. Upon the completion of the course, students will also have an understanding of light and image deviation under water and how to prepare cameras for underwater shooting. Students who complete both elements will be awarded a certificate in Underwater 3D Stereoscopy and a PADI Certificate in Underwater Diving. The course will culminate in an exhilarating excursion, where students will have exten- sive diving and filming opportunities in the clear tropical waters of Thailand. Der neue Kurs besteht aus 2 Hauptelementen, eines ist die 3D-Stereo-Kameraführung und das andere ein Tauchkurs. Der Kurs beinhaltet Grundlagen der Videoauf- zeichnung, der Dokumentarfilmproduktion, der 2D- und 3D-Kameraführung, der Lichtsetzung und der Post Production für 2D und 3D sowie das Tauchen. Nach Beendigung des Kurses werden sich die Studenten außerdem mit der Veränderung von Licht und Bildern unter Wasser auskennen, und wissen wie man Kameras für Unterwasseraufnahmen präpariert. Studenten die bei- de Gebiete meistern, bekommen ein Zertifikat in Unterwasser-3D-Stereos- kopie und ein PADI-Tauchzertifikat. Der Höhepunkt des Kurses ist eine aufregende Exkursion, auf der die Studenten die Möglichkeit haben, aus- giebig im klaren tropischen Wasser Thailands zu tauchen und zu filmen. Die Kursleiter sind Profis mit mehrjähriger Erfahrung in der Industrie. Students Win 2nd Prize in Recycling Competition n SAE Media Technology stu- dents Simon Hing, Vimal James and Ili Farhana, were involved in the “Pertandingan Reka Cipta Ba- han Kitar Semula“ competition, which took place from the 6th to the 9th of April 2011 at AEON, Mahkota Cheras. The SAE team wonthe2ndplaceoutof 31teams. Each team member received a new iPad and a RM 3,000 prize. The competition, organized by the Ministry of Domestic Trade Co- operatives and Consumerism, (AEON) in conjunction with Uni- versity Kebangsan Malaysia saw 31 teams from Private and Local Universities battling each other in the creation of a practical usable product for students from re- cycled materials to be used while studying. Team SAE created a desk lamp with built-in speakers. Their hard work and commitment has rewarded them not only with the runner- up prizes but also with a real team working experience. n Studenten gewinnen 2. Jedes der Teammitglieder erhielt ein neues iPad und ein Preisgeld in Höhe von RM 3.000,–. Am vom Ministerium für nationale Handelskooperativen und Kon- sum (AEON) in Zusammenarbeit mit der Kebangsan Universität Malaysia organisierten Wettbewerb beteiligten sich 31 Teams von privaten und lokalen Universitäten. Sie stellten alle ein während des Studiums praktisch anwendbares Produkt aus Recyclingma- terialien her. Team SAE baute eine Tischlampe mit integrierten Lautsprechern. Die harte Arbeit und die Hingabe der Drei wurden nicht nur mit der Zweitplatzierung, sondern auch mit echter Teamwork-Erfah- rung belohnt. Students with their Creation
