Online MA/MSc Professional Practice (Creative Media Industries) Programme. Since the beginning of this year, all seven teaching locations in Germany are now degree centres. Seit Frühjahr dieses Jahres sind nun alle sieben im Lehrbetrieb befindlichen Standorte in Deutsch- land sogenannte Degreecenter. SAE Institute’s announcement of its MA/MSc Profession- al Practice (Creative Media Industries) programme has proved to be another major milestone in its 35 year history offering a dynamic, radical new approach to professional de- velopment postgraduate studies. Launched in January 2011, this course was validated by Middlesex University and is su- pervised by the University’s Institute of Work-Based Learn- ing. Our existing postgraduate programme has been further developed where students can explore the latest research spe- cific to their professional practice. Designed in response to the ever-growing demands for specialists at the cutting edge of the media industry, this new master’s programme has two unique features: 1) An option to choose either an MA or MSc 2) An option to study general Creative Media Industries or a specialist subject within the industry The programmes are offered online as full and part-time mod- ules. Students can work on the programme alongside their nor- mal employment. http://online.sae.edu/school/courses/masters ■ For the students this means they have the option to take Bachelor degree lectures in any location, so they can stay in one location for their diploma and Bachelor degree. For SAE this is a strategic step forward and one of their most important projects for this calendar year has been success- fully concluded The new branch in Bochum is due to fol- low in early 2012. Für SAE bedeutet es strategisch einen bedeutenden Schritt weiter zu sein und eines der wichtigsten Projekte für dieses Kalenderjahr erfolgreich abgeschlossen zu haben. Die neue Niederlassung in Bochum wird voraussichtlich Anfang 2012 folgen. Finally, after a seemingly never ending wait, the first Latin American SAE Institute opens its doors in vibrant Mexico City. Located in a six storey building in the Condesa Bor- ough, the campus finds itself at the centre of the artistic, Bohemian and urban scene. Equipped with the finest technologies available in the creative media industry, and offering all of the usual SAE Institute educational streams. The operations started February 14th and it was an immediate success. Some important members of the Mexican media industry and creative community were willing to give their support to SAE Institute as their preferred educational option. SAE Institute Mexico has set its goals to the highest standards and it is already being regarded as an example of “Excellency in Education for the Creative Media Industry“. Undoubtedly SAE Institute Mexico positioned itself at the right time and the right place as an answer to the country’s hunger for technical knowledge and education. We can’t wait to bring you more news and updates from SAE Institute Mexico City. ■ Nach scheinbar endlosem Warten öffnete nun das erste lateinamerikanische SAE Institute im lebhaf- ten Mexico City seine Türen. Die Schule befindet sich im Bezirk Condesa, dem Zentrum der künstlerisch-ur- banen Szene, in einem sechsstöckigen Gebäude. Sie ist mit höchstwertiger Medientechnologie für Krea- tive ausgestattet und wird alle bekannten SAE Institute Ausbildungszweige anbieten. Mit dem Startschuss am 14. Februar stellte sich dann auch direkt der Erfolg ein. Einige wichtige Persönlichkeiten aus der mexikanischen Medienindustrie und die kreative Community wollen SAE Institute die Chance geben, zu ihrem bevorzugten Ausbildungsinstitut zu werden. SAE Institute Mexico hat sich sehr hohe Standards auferlegt und wird be- reits als Beispiel für „Exzellenz in der Ausbildung für die Kreativmedien- industrie“ betrachtet.
