SAE & SAE Alumni NEWS // European News 067 Istanbul Fanta Stage 2011 Contest n Fanta Stage, one of the most significant composition & perfor- mance contests in Turkey, was supported by SAE Institute Istanbul again this year. The recording and mixdown sessions of 30 semi-fi- nalists from the contest, were coordinated and executed by SAE students. Other than a series of seminars and workshops held at SAE Istanbul facilities, the finalists also found a chance to perform their songs live on stage. The winners of the contest recorded their songs featuring famous rock band maNga at SAE Istanbul Studios, with well-known music producers, Iskender Paydas and Tarkan Gözübüyük. n Fanta Stage 2011 Contest SAE Institute Istanbul’da önümüzdeki Eylul ayında Dijital Film ve Animasyon Bölümü acılıyor. Digital Film & Animation Program is starting n SAE Institute Istanbul is pleased to announce that a Digital Film and Animation course will commence this September. First Experiences with the JVC GY-HM750E at SAE Istanbul Jury and the finalists of Fanta Stage 2011 Turkey “Texture & Magic” Video Art Competition n SAE Istanbul will soon host Texture & Magic -a video art competition. The subject of the video art competition that will take place for the first time later this year, is the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. The aim of the competition is to direct the competitors’ focus on the textures and magi- cal signs that are hidden in the palace. The competition will take place in Istanbul on September 2 – 4, 2011. The judges of the competition are Mr Orcun Koksal, one of the scriptwriters of the award-winning trilogy “Bal”(Honey), “Süt”(Milk), “Yumurta”(Egg), Mr Candas Sisman, a multi- disciplinary new generation artist who stands out with remarkable videos, SAE Istanbul Manager / Musician Mr Hakan Kursun and Head of the Digital Film and Animation Department Mr Cagil Bocut. n SAE Istanbul “Bahsedilmeyen” Video Art Yarısmasını Düzenliyor SAE Institute İstanbul tarafından bu yıl ilk kez düzenlenecek “Bahsedil- meyen”videoartyarışması,02–04Eylül2011tarihleriarasındaİstanbul’da gerçekleştiriliyor. Yarışmanın jüri üyeleri arasında “Bal”, “Süt” , “Yumurta” filmlerinin senaristlerinden Orçun Köksal ve çok başarılı video, animasyon, grafik tasarım, audiovisual çalışmalarıyla öne çıkan, yeni neslin en önem- li sanatçılarından Candaş Şişman gibi sektörün önemli isimlerinin yanı sıra SAE kurucu temsilcisi Hakan Kurşun ve digital film ve animasyon bölüm başkanı Çağıl Bocut yer alacak.
