SAE Institute continues to build on its presence in Germany with the opening of a new campus in Bochum this November 2011. Media students will then be able to study with SAE in a total of eight German cities. Das SAE Institute baut seine Präsenz in Deutschland weiter aus. Im ­November 2011 eröffnet die Niederlassung in Bochum. Damit werden Medieninteressierte zukünftig in insgesamt acht deutschen Städten einen SAE-Studiengang absolvieren können. During the celebratory ceremony Chris Müller emphasised the importance of the new site which will give those interested in media studies in the Ruhr area better access to study at SAE. Lord Mayor Ottilie Schulz added: “It is good that our higher education landscape has been extended. New branches such as this help soothe economic bad tidings like the Nokia closure.” Bochum: The perfect location With the new SAE campus scheduled to open its doors on 14th November 2011 in the “Zentralmassiv” bunker on Springer- platz in Bochum. This former air raid shelter in the heart of the city will be used exclusively by SAE Institute and a trendy cafe. The premises are approx. 1200 m2 and have space for around 300 students. Film and recording studios, a green screen room, classrooms, practice rooms and ad- ministrative offices are situated over three storeys. Oberbürgermeisterin Ottilie Schulz fügt hinzu: „Gut, dass unsere Hochschullandschaft stetig weiter ausgebaut wird. Solche Neuansiedlungen sind Balsam nach wirtschaftlichen Hiobsbotschaften wie der Nokia-Schließung.“ Bochum: Der perfekte Standort Am 14.11.2011 öffnet das neue SAE Institute im Hochbunker „Zentralmassiv“ am Springerplatz in Bochum seine Pforten. Der ehemalige Luftschutzbunker liegt im Herzen der Stadt und wird ausschließlich von SAE Institute und einem angesagten Szene-Café genutzt. Die Räumlichkeiten von SAE Institute umfassen rund 1200 qm und bieten Platz für etwa 300 Studenten. Auf drei Stockwer- ken verteilt entstehen Ton- und Filmstudios, ein Greenscreen- Raum, Klassenzimmer sowie Übungs- und Verwaltungsräume.
