Our music concept expedition aims to redefine the “world mu- sic” genre with recordings which are temporally and spatially separate. With the help of mobile technology we will individu- ally record musicians from various countries and first bring their performances together in post-editing. We want to unite humanity in its music despite political, social and cultural bor- ders. People at home can also take part in our musical discov- ery of the ocean. Our recordings can be found on Facebook and Vimeo and we have a (b)log book. We are currently looking for partners and sponsors. We are collecting for a new sail on kickstarter.com. The 35-year-old mainsail suffered considerably in a storm off the coast of Papa New Guinea and increasingly resembles a Swiss cheese. HD video editing on our three-year- old laptop requires a lot of pa- tience and so far the water has thankfully only taken its toll on cutlery and our favourite cups. You can’t live off self-caught tuna and rice from the boat’s previous owner alone. And even if we have to hire ourselves out as dock workers, we definitely want to see our self-imposed task through to the end. We are happy to receive support from all friends, not just on those on Facebook.
